About Fargemarka

In 2017, Trondheim municipality took over an area in Lade from the county council. The area is supposed to be under development the next 10-20 years. In the area there is 48 apartments, 2 commercial building, a nature area and a former school. According to a meeting with the municipality, it will take 1-2 years before there is an initial plan for the area, which is then presented to the politicians. They estimated that the entire development of the area will take 13 years. That means that the houses are likely to stay empty for a very long period and at least the next couple of years.

• A total area of 12000 m2, with 10 empty buildings.
• The buildings are heated and with electricity and water
• One house has been squatted for 1 week

We want to work politically and through direct action to create a new area for sustainable alternative living at Østmarka - we are calling the project Fargemarka.
